I think it is fitting to note that the last Lynskey to grow up on the Lynskey farm in Danville from the generation of Gaston, Anne, and Martin passed away April 22, 2004. Mary L. (Lynskey) Hackett, youngest daughter of John Joseph Lynskey, brother to William Edward Lynskey, your Great Grandfather, died after a long illness in Ohio. Mary lived for 40 years in Cranford, NJ. Hi Lynskeys: My Great Grandfather Patrick Lynskey, married to Mary Deskin, had a pub in Milltown, Galway. Three children, Patrick, my grandfather, Thomas, and Margaret. I knew Patrick slightly before he died in New York. Margaret married Thomas Kenny in Manhattan in 1903. Know very little about Thomas. Does anyone know about Patrick and wife Mary Deskin? We live in Bromsgrove Worcestershire. Without repeating myself again, we are looking for Info on a John Francis Lynskey (Jack) who is Kevin's father. He may have been married before he married Kevin's mother Hettie Irene Harris, and he could well have had a son called Thomas (Tom) from that first marriage?
John Francis was born in Galway and as far as we know lived on a farm, he would have been born around 1900-1910, not sure of exact date. Many thanks.

annie.croucher@btinternet.com nee lynskey - my dad's family came from EARBY yorkshire uk (it's now in lancashire-county boundaries)he was wilfred lynskey (aka lyn) he had 2 sisters i know of , annie and kathleen . his father thomas william lynskey was recorded in the 1901 census as 'aged 23'a labourer from ireland -not helpful ! my dad didn't talk about his family (problems i gather) but he worked in the cotton mills at 13 then joined the navy as soon as he could going through ww2 as a petty officer in sick bay.he served on the russian convoys and never recovered from the loss of his best friend , also from earby , who had served with him from the time he joined up-after much study he became a sister tutor, lecturing in anatomy and physiology.born 25/4/1915 he died 17/2/86 aged 70. probably not enough info for anyone to contact me , but i'd be really interested in any help to trace thomas 's home town.
Hi My Great Great Grandfather Edward Lynskey married Mary Peyton at the Catholic Church in Swinford Co Mayo on the 26 of January 1856 in the presence of Martin Lynskey and Catherine Peyton. Their eldest son was my Great Grandfather Patrick. They also had twin sons one of them was Martin and the other was Jack - also a daughter they called Maggie who married a Jack Jones. The three sons left for Liverpool with Maggie. Martin, Jack and Maggie settled in Liverpool. I Know that a Michael Lynskey Born 20-7-1936 and Mary Lynskey Born 4 Feb 1921 who went to Australia and Mary had a daughter Christine but i have come to a dead end with Michael can you help

Some of my cousins, whose mother was a Lynskey, have the last name of Kotchey. Lynskey is such an unusual name, that we love hearing that there are others out there.
